I’ve been with Linde over 12 years and I still learn something new every day. In 2002, I spent time in India which proved to be a life changing experience for me as a 23 year old woman. I developed the project turnaround plan and then led the day shift work at one of our plants. Communication proved to be difficult due to cultural differences. The project was challenging enough without that hurdle to overcome. We encountered many unexpected issues along the way but together with the smart, talented Linde people at the site, we overcame the obstacles in order to complete the job on schedule and supply gas to the pipeline per our commitment to the customer.

That’s one of the many great things about working at Linde. You’re surrounded by high calibre people and your talent will be put to the test. You can’t fake it. It’s a challenging environment and expectations are high. It’s a fast paced, ever-changing business, but you are in control of your future. I’m now working for Linde in Shanghai with my husband and two children. I’ve been here for two years and the experience - both life and work - is deeply rewarding. Working with customers in China (internal and external) requires a different approach than working with customers elsewhere in the world. The skills I’ve developed as a leader and manager in my career at Linde have enabled me to have a positive impact in my current role.

In fact, impact is something you’re never far away from at Linde – especially when it comes to the environment. Our collaboration with customers, suppliers and each other drives us to develop the most effective, efficient and responsible offering. I take great pride in being a part of that.
