Argon
Argon serves multiple industries as it is used in life sciences for device production, solar and photovoltaic production, and also used in welding, and fluorescent lighting.
Carbon Dioxide
Carbon dioxide is a key cryogenic agent for the Food and Beverage industry as it is used in cooling, chilling, and freezing foods. It protects the taste and texture of food products and reduces the need for preservatives in packaged products. Carbon dioxide is the essential ingredient for the fizz in carbonated beverages.
Helium
More popularly known for lifting blimps and balloons, Helium is also used in Universities for research and lab work. It is a superconductor in MRI and used to pressurize and purge cryogens.
Hydrogen
When combined with other chemicals, Hydrogen is used to make rocket fuel. Within the food industry it is used in hydrogenating fats and oils.
Nitrogen
Nitrogen plays a key role in reducing spoilage, discoloration, and off-flavors of foods while giving strength to retail packaging. Within the life sciences industry it is used in the production of pharmaceutical drug and device production and acts as a preservation agent for stem cell and cord blood.
